Optical Systems Applications Engineer
Function : Engineering
Must have at least 5+ years of experience in the photonics industry working in the UV/VIS/NIR range. Ideal candidate will have experience in designing optical metrology systems, performing optical sensor calibrations, light measurements, and optical simulations. Must have technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the understanding of optics, spectroscopy, light metrology. This position requires liaison between Sales and customer, and requires professionalism, excellent listening skills, and communication. Primary applications involve system design for remote-sensing calibration applications, LED measurements, and laser power measurements. Candidate should be able to make technical decisions without the benefit of always having 100% of the information. Must be able to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously in a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment and be able to balance the technical requirements with the business constraints of the projects.
Senior Optical Systems Engineer
Function : Engineering
Must have at least 10+ years of experience in the photonics industry working in the UV/VIS/NIR range. Ideal candidate will be an industry expert in designing optical metrology systems, performing optical sensor calibrations, light measurements, and optical simulations. Active participation in industry committees and uncertainty analysis experience a plus. Must have technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the understanding of optics, spectroscopy, light metrology, uncertainty, and be able to communicate technical details and concepts to a wide range of audiences. Must be proactive in proposing and implementing solutions through completion. Primary applications involve system design for remote-sensing calibration applications, LED measurements, and laser power measurements. Candidate should be forward-thinking in utilizing and developing new technology while being open to new ideas and constructive discussions on project concepts. Must be able to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously in a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment and be able to balance the technical requirements with the business constraints of the projects. Although some research tasks are required, this is a position that requires the candidate to take action to accomplish tasks in short timeframes.

Labsphere has an open role for and Inside Sales Associate, in this role you will be 100% responsible and accountable for the sales of Labsphere standard products, 'adapta spheres' and services.
You must achieve consistently excellent results in terms of sales, forecasting, and development of regional customer account potentials (with Regional Sales Managers).
We will have you develop technical expertise on all products, applications and markets
while assisting with pro-active outbound sales/marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns.

Mechanical Design Engineer
Function : Engineering
Labsphere is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with 2-5 years of experience in a production environment to be the technical expert for designs and processes related to machined and manufactured products. A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required. Familiarities with Material Science, Solidworks, and or Lean/Six Sigma are a plus.
We will require you to provide mechanical design solutions to assist profitable sales on standard and custom light metrology systems while maintaining and improving Labsphere’s reputation in the remote sensing and light measurement communities.
You will need to demonstrate continuous improvement on the design and design processes of systems and system components while considering factors such as cost, ease of use, manufacturability, ergonomics, and aesthetics while meeting industry requirements where applicable.
