Labsphere’s PLMS (Photopic Lamp Measurement Systems) are integrating sphere photometers designed to measure the total luminous flux of lamps. The systems are capable of measuring all lamp types including arc, fluorescent, incandescent, and HID. A 40, 65, or 76-inch integrating sphere is standard and is designed to accommodate a particular class of lamp defined by its physical size and output flux rating.
The PLMS conforms to the recommendations of CIE Publication 84, providing easy-to-operate highly accurate measurement systems.
The PLMS includes a 3-inch sphere with an integral baffle cosine collector and photopic response detector. This assembly offers a wide field of view, necessary for accurate total flux measurement. A precision-regulated DC power supply provides highly accurate currents for lamp standard measurements. The SC 6000 radiometer/photometer operates out-of-the-box with a 64 digital back lit LCD display that allows users to view measurement results, select calibration factors, and set display features and remote communication parameters.
A Calibrated Luminous Flux Standard is supplied with each PLMS traceable to NIST.
