Posts, Post Mounts & Bases
A variety of post and post holders are available for mounting the integrating sphere to an optical table or to a base plate assembly.
Posts are made of stainless steel with a 1/4"-20 (M6) tapped hole at one end and a removable #8-32 (M4) threaded stud at the other. Mounting posts are designed to slide easily into post holders and freely telescope to vertically adjust sphere height from its mounting base.
Post Holders have a wide, square relief cut that has a stable two-line contact for the mating post. A spring-loaded plunger within a brass thumbscrew holds the steel post firmly in the post holder.
Sphere Bases have either M6 or 1/4-20 threads and include M4 and 1/4-20 adapters to easily accommodate a variety of posts. Sphere bases provide a sturdy mounting stand when an integrating sphere will not be mounted to an optical table.
