Filters & Filter Holders
OPTICAL FILTERS
Used to:
- Modify the spectrum of light entering into the sphere (when mounted in front of a light source)
- Measure light in a specific wavelength band (when mounted in front of a detector port)
- Attenuate signal level to avoid detector saturation (when mounted in front of a detector port)
Used with: USS, GPS, LPMS
Benefits: Easy way to modify light spectrum without changing the light sources.
Connects to/Mounts on: Standard filter holder
Use a Color Balancing Filter to: modify to a specific wavelength - color temperature of light source to modify spectrum – moves spectrum
Use a Color Glass Filter to: obtain a certain wavelength color – can be used in front of detector and light sources
Use a Narrow Band Filter to: measure light in a specific band or restrict to a certain wavelength band
Use a Neutral Density (ND) Filter to: attenuate the amount of light going to the detector to avoid detector saturation, for example, for high powered light sources - laser power measurement
All of Labsphere's filters are supplied in a hardwood storage case.
FILTER HOLDERS
The FH-050-050 filter holder mounts onto a 0.5-inch port frame (PF-050). Any of the other accessories that mount onto a PF-050 may also be mounted onto the filter holder. The filter holder accommodates filters 0.50 inches in diameter and up to 0.375 inches thick.
The FH-100-200 filter holder mounts onto a 1-inch port frame (PF-100). Any of the other accessories that mount onto a PF-100 may also be mounted onto the filter holder. The filter holder holds 2-inch square filters up to 0.375 inches thick.
